In this versatile technical position, you will be responsible as a Hardware Engineer for developing conceptual designs and translating them into functional machines and/or modules.
You will be involved in both projects and customer-specific orders, always working as part of a multidisciplinary team. In each case, customer requirements, product lifespan, and functional reliability must be considered simultaneously.
You will be engaged throughout the entire process, from the design phase to realization, testing, and handover. This requires technical expertise, precision, and the ability to maintain an overview in complex systems.
What will you be doing all day as a Hardware Engineer?
- Develop (sub)concepts for electrical hardware within machines and modules;
- Prepare and deliver the complete technical product documentation (TPD);
- Design and build hardware structures within customer-specific machine-building projects;
- Create schematics, select components, and prepare Bills of Materials (BOM);
- Prepare and/or conduct sound tests and other validations for CE certification;
- Implement improvements in existing designs with a focus on cost reduction and increased reliability;
- Prepare CE declarations and ensure compliance with the Machinery Directive;
- Handle the technical handover to logistics and production departments;
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and provide structural solutions;
- Actively contribute improvements to existing processes and designs.
