As a Senior Mechanical Development Engineer, you are responsible for the complete development cycle of a product or machine, from customer specifications and concept creation to validation and successful introduction and industrialisation into production.
You translate requirements into technically feasible and cost-effective solutions, ensuring:
- High product quality and reliability
- Cost price optimization
- Smart and sustainable material selection
- Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
- Efficient industrialization and scalability
You take ownership from idea to serial production.
What will you do?
- Translate customer specifications into innovative technical concepts
- Lead NPD projects from concept phase to validation
- Manage NPI and transfer to production
- 3D modeling, detailing, and defining designs in SolidWorks
- Manage technical documentation, revisions, and BOMs (PDM)
- Define material selection based on performance, cost, and sustainability
- Perform tolerance stack-ups, risk analysis (FMEA), and validation testing
- Optimize designs for quality and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with production, procurement, and suppliers
- Guide prototyping and continuous improvement processes
