We are looking for an experienced Millwright with strong electrical and mechanical skills. Your expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining PLC-controlled machinery will be essential to keeping production processes running efficiently. You will work closely with a team of technicians and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Your Responsibilities

  • Performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on machinery and buildings;
  • Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical malfunctions, including PLC-related issues (with potential programming tasks);
  • Conducting inspections to identify potential problems and areas for improvement;
  • Installing new machinery and ensuring proper integration with existing systems;
  • Managing technical components and equipment to maintain operational efficiency;
  • Coordinating and overseeing external suppliers for maintenance and repairs;
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed and parts used;
  • Conducting risk analyses and ensuring compliance with safety protocols;
  • Contributing to process improvements and participating in projects to enhance efficiency.
  • Qualified in a technical direction (preferably Millwright);
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a production environment (Food, FMCG, Paper, or Automotive);
  • Strong electrical and mechanical engineering skills;
  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (programming knowledge is a plus);
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics;
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
