Vacancy: Project Management Officer (PMO) – Energy Transition (The Netherlands)

The Netherlands is undergoing a massive energy revolution. To support this, we are looking for experienced technical professionals from South Africa who want to relocate and grow into the role of Project Manager. We offer a full relocation package and a specialized training program to ensure your success in the Dutch engineering sector.

The Role
As a PMO, you are the backbone of large-scale technical projects (such as high-voltage substations and grid expansions). You work closely with Project Managers to ensure everything runs on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
  • Manage project documentation in advanced systems (Relatics, SharePoint).
  • Stakeholder management: act as the bridge between technical teams and external partners.
  • Guard deadlines and signal bottlenecks in capacity or communication.

The Pre-boarding Program (The Commitment)
This unique opportunity requires a dual commitment. Before you relocate to the Netherlands on June 1st, you will participate in a 3-month part-time preparation phase (March – May):

  • Time Commitment: 2 evenings per week.
  • Content: Intensive Dutch language training and technical project management modules.
  • Format: Remote/Online.
  • Goal: To ensure you are “landing-ready” and can communicate effectively from day one.

What do we look for?

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree (BTech or BEng) in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Proven experience in Project Management or project support within the technical/industrial sector.
  • Commitment: The dedication to invest 2 evenings a week in your development during the 3-month relocation period.
  • Character: Structured, pro-active, and a strong desire to live and work in the Netherlands.
  • Language: Dutch speaking of Fluent in Afrikaans
