About the role
Are you passionate about technology and eager to contribute to innovative production processes in an international environment? As an SMD Team Leader, you will play a key role within the Operations department. You will manage several teams and ensure smooth production flows. Your leadership will directly influence both output and quality, while driving continuous improvement. You make sure the right people are in the right place so that daily planning is achieved.

What is the SMD department?
This department brings together advanced technologies: using high-speed machines, thousands of small electronic components are automatically placed on printed circuit boards. Key processes include solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow ovens, and automated optical inspection (AOI). It is an essential step in manufacturing complex electronics for cutting-edge applications.

  • Key tasks & responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire your team to achieve production goals
  • Monitor and adjust production output to meet targets
  • Oversee daily performance management, report to management, and ensure smooth operations
  • Manage resources: optimize people, machines, and materials
  • Develop your team through training, coaching, performance reviews, and recruitment
  • Safeguard quality and contribute to improvement of complex products
  • Drive continuous improvement and 5S initiatives on the shop floor
Your profile
  • At least 4 years of experience in a leadership role within a production environment
  • Technical or industrial engineering background at minimum associate level (education or experience)
  • Strong HR skills: performance reviews, coaching, personal development planning
  • Proven leadership abilities: able to influence, inspire, and guide while maintaining a positive and productive work atmosphere
  • Interest in process improvement
  • Excellent command of the English language
