Do you enjoy working independently on complex electrical installations and solving technical challenges on-site? We are looking for a Field Service Panel Builder Technician for a leading specialist in electrical distribution and control systems.
This organisation designs and builds custom-made solutions used in industries such as manufacturing, retail and data centres. In this role, you ensure that these systems are installed, maintained and operating reliably at customer locations.
What will you do?
As a Field Service Panel Builder Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, installing and commissioning electrical systems on-site. You will work independently while maintaining close communication with customers and internal teams.
Your responsibilities include:

  • Assembling, installing, connecting and repairing electrical distribution systems and control panels
  • Interconnecting panel sections on-site where full assembly transport is not possible
  • Building and modifying cabinets based on electrical schematics
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical faults
  • Performing maintenance and service activities on installations
  • Coordinating your work with customers to minimise disruption to their operations

You will also participate in an on-call service, ensuring that breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Your responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with safety regulations (including NEN 3140) and quality standards
  • Identify unsafe situations and take appropriate action
  • Accurately report work performed, faults and materials used
  • Communicate findings to the supervisor and work preparation team
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the workshop and field service to ensure efficient execution
What do you bring?
  • MBO level 3–4 education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience with panel building, electrical distribution and/or control systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Familiarity with NEN 3140 and a VCA certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Valid driving licence (Category B)
  • Willingness to travel across the Netherlands
Preferred:
  • Experience in a field service or service-oriented role
  • Additional certifications such as MBI or MEP
