About the Role As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible on weekends for 10–15 employees across the TCA and 2–4 employees working in Metrology. Responsibilities

You are responsible for the entire TCA and Metrology departments during the weekend.

You lead the team of process operators and team leaders.

You supervise and monitor the production process in both departments.

You report to the TCA Manager and work closely with your fellow Shift Leaders who work in the two other shifts.

On your weekday return, you schedule meetings with other shift leaders as well as with other departments (Quality Engineers, Technical Services, Process Engineers, Planning, and PD&E).

You ensure and improve processes and address any issues encountered during the weekend.

You monitor product quality and the technical condition of equipment.

You prevent and manage rejections and any potential incidents.

Leading, coaching, and motivating the team.

Creating and executing the schedule for your shift (in consultation with the Planning Department & TCA Manager).

Monitoring the progress and quality of products and reporting to the TCA Manager (KPI’s).

Maintaining and enhancing the overall level of the team.

Ensuring prevention and management of rejections and incidents.

Advising the TCA Manager on hiring employees and developing your team.

Supervising safe working practices in the department.

Maintaining order and cleanliness in the department.

Conducting performance reviews and appraisal discussions as the direct supervisor for your team.

Acting as a representative of the company within your team and department.

Education
Minimum MBO+/HBO level with a technical and/or chemical background.
Several years of experience in a leadership role in a similar production environment.
Required Skills
Strong personality with excellent communication skills.
Experience working with an ERP system and good computer and administrative skills.
Ability to maintain a helicopter view, stepping in as Shift Leader in other departments when needed.
Good command of both Dutch and English.
Strong leadership experience is essential for this role; this is a strict requirement.

Xycarb Technology valt onder de Duitste Schunk Groep, deze zelfstandige BV in Helmond bestaat uit zo’n 200 man en opereert binnen de high tech productie.
In Helmond staat een kantoorpand en een productiepand en ze richten zich op de ontwikkeling en productie van grafieten- en keramische onderdelen voor de opto-electronische-, semicon- en solarindustrie.

Een bekend product zijn bijvoorbeeld waferhandlers van grafiet. Grafiet is een heel zwart, bros en hittebestendig materiaal waardoor deze goed tegen de hitte van lasers kan.

Engineering bestaat uit 2 teams van product Engineers, ieder zo’n 8 man groot; het opto en het semiconteam, onder de hoede van Jules en Andre.

Productie bestaat uit 2 hallen; de MBA; mechanische bewerkingsafdeling (draaien, frezen, slijpen) en de TCA, de chemische processen waarbij onder hoge compressie een gasmengsel tot coating op de producten vormt.

Verder heeft Xycarb een eigen kwaliteitsafdeling, ook met Zeis meetmachines, facility; ook schoonmaak in eigen beheer.

Tim, Cas en Marianne vormen het HR team, waarbij Tim als corporate recruiter instroom in samenwerking met externe partijen coordineert.
Afspraken zijn in onderhandeling met inkoop, ze vallen binnen CAO Grootmetaal en afspraken nu staan op 2.65 1 jaar NL/1,5 jaar IND
