The role

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing new aluminium automated doors on board superyachts, including drives, door panels and control systems;
  • Connecting and testing control systems;
  • Commissioning automated door systems;
  • Performing international service and maintenance on superyachts, mainly in the Mediterranean region and the Caribbean
  • Working closely with colleagues, shipyards and yacht crews to deliver a high-quality final result.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with:

  • A completed technical vocational education, preferably in Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar field. For Portuguese candidates, this could for example be a Curso Profissional Técnico or a comparable technical qualification;
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, drives, control systems and mechanical assemblies;
  • Experience working with metals such as aluminium and stainless steel;
  • A strong eye for detail: “good enough” is not good enough for you;
  • A valid category B driving licence;
  • Experience in the superyacht industry, shipbuilding, yacht refit or marine service is a strong advantage.

We design and manufacture high-precision aluminium doors for luxury yachts. At Alukwa, craftsmanship still matters: you work on a premium product in a modern, well-equipped workshop in Lisse, the Netherlands. Our products are installed on board new-build superyachts at shipyards in the Netherlands and across Europe. In addition, we provide service and maintenance on superyachts worldwide.

This position is based in the Netherlands and is suitable for candidates who are open to relocating from Portugal.
