Xelvin is looking for an experienced Production Test Engineer with a strong Electrical Engineering background to join the engineering team of a leading technology company in Eindhoven. In this role, you will develop and implement production test solutions for advanced electronic systems, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before entering serial production.

This employer designs and manufactures highly advanced electronic systems for demanding industries such as semiconductors, industrial, automotive, medical and defense.

As a Production Test Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging product development and manufacturing by designing, developing and maintaining production test solutions. You will work closely with hardware, embedded software and manufacturing teams to ensure products can be efficiently and reliably tested throughout their lifecycle.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing production test strategies and test sequences for electronic products.
  • Designing test hardware, including PCB-based test interfaces, fixtures and measurement circuits.
  • Developing and maintaining automated test software using Python and C++.
  • Performing Design for Testability (DfT) reviews during product development.
  • Designing and maintaining automated production test setups.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Performing root cause analysis on production and test failures.
  • Improving test coverage, production yield, reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the complete product lifecycle.

To succeed in this role, you bring:


Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Electronics / Electrical Engineering only).
  • Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Experience designing electronic circuits and printed circuit boards.
  • Must have: Proven experience with Altium Designer.
  • Experience developing test solutions for electronic products.
  • Experience working with laboratory and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, DAQs and signal generators.
  • Experience within electronics manufacturing, semiconductor, embedded systems or power electronics environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent communication skills in English.
  • Some experience with Python and/or C++ (basic).

Preferred

  • Experience with automated test systems and production environments.
  • Experience with Design for Testability (DfT).


  • A competitive gross salary in the range of € 3.500 – €5.500 per month excluding 8% holiday allowance, depending on experience, technical expertise and results.

  • Holiday allowance of 8% of annual salary.
