Are you a hands-on maintenance technician who enjoys troubleshooting machines, working with automation and keeping a modern production environment running?

For a large and highly automated production facility in the Apeldoorn region, we are looking for Maintenance Technicians to strengthen the technical maintenance team.

This is a role for technicians who like variety: one moment you are troubleshooting an electrical fault, the next you are working on a mechanical issue, performing preventive maintenance or helping improve an automated production line.

What will you be working on?

The production facility relies heavily on automation, data and intelligent control systems. Together with the maintenance team, you are responsible for keeping the equipment available, reliable and efficient.

Your work will include:

  • Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical and control-system faults
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Working on automated production machinery and installations
  • Diagnosing faults using electrical diagrams and technical documentation
  • Working with sensors, motors, drives, pneumatics and PLC-controlled equipment
  • Carrying out technical modifications and improvements
  • Identifying recurring problems and helping improve machine reliability
  • Supporting planned maintenance activities
  • Working closely with other technicians, production teams and technical support staff

You will work in a 3-shift schedule, with shifts scheduled between approximately 05:30 and 21:30. Planned maintenance may occasionally take place during weekends.

You are a practical technician who enjoys finding the cause of a problem rather than simply replacing parts.

Ideally, you have:

  • A technical vocational education in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automation or a comparable field
  • Practical experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, machinery or production environments
  • A strong foundation in electrical engineering
  • Basic to good mechanical maintenance skills
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial machinery
  • An interest in PLC-controlled and automated equipment
  • A willingness to work in a 3-shift schedule
  • A willingness to continue developing your technical skills

Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, frequency drives, sensors, pneumatics or similar equipment is an advantage.

Most importantly, you are hands-on, technically curious and comfortable solving problems in a production environment.

  • Gross monthly salary between €3,000 and €4,500, depending on knowledge and experience
  • A fixed 2% year-end payment

We believe it is important to be transparent about the environment you will be working in.

The company operates a large meat-processing and slaughtering facility. Approximately 700 people work at the location, of whom around 100 work directly within the slaughtering process.

As a Maintenance Technician, your main focus is the technical installations and automated production equipment. However, because the technical department is responsible for machinery throughout the facility, you may occasionally need to enter areas where slaughtering activities take place.

The technical environment itself is modern, highly automated and strongly focused on innovation, reliability and data-driven production.
