As a Validation Engineer, you will work in an innovative Research & Development environment focused on the development and validation of advanced automotive technologies. You will become part of the System Application & Validation team and be responsible for developing, executing and reporting validation tests at both IC and system level.

You will work at the intersection of hardware, software and system validation, ensuring that new products and updates meet the defined requirements before they are released to customers. You will also have the opportunity to improve existing test methods and make validation processes smarter, more efficient and more reliable.

  • Develop and execute test cases to fully validate IC- and system-level requirements;
  • Develop and optimize validation setups at both IC and application level;
  • Translate manual laboratory tests into reliable, repeatable and efficient automated test environments;
  • Support the execution of system tests and analyze test results;
  • Report on validation progress, results and technical issues;
  • Define and document validation use cases and accurately record test results in project documentation and databases;
  • Work closely with hardware and firmware developers, system architects and other validation teams;
  • Actively contribute to improving validation processes, test methods and tooling.

A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline;

At least 5 years of relevant work experience;

Experience in the automotive and/or semiconductor industry, preferably with system-level validation;

A broad interest in electronics, software development and product validation;

Experience with software development and a good understanding of the Software Engineering and Systems Development Lifecycle;

Strong programming skills in, for example, Python, C, C++, LabVIEW and/or TestStand;

Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate complex technical issues in a structured manner;

Good command of the English language, both verbally and in writing.

You will be working within an international Research & Development organization that develops innovative technologies for the automotive market. The organization works on technologies including infotainment, radio and amplifier systems, radar and Car2X solutions. As part of the System Application & Validation team, you will contribute to various projects related to automotive infotainment and digital radio technologies. The team brings hardware and firmware together and ensures that systems perform reliably before products are released to customers.

You will work in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate closely with marketing, system architects, hardware and firmware developers, and other validation teams. This gives you the opportunity to be involved throughout the development process, from initial development through validation and final release.
